Created technology/development team for a start-up web company. Developed two E-Commerce platforms to provide people the capability to sell promotional products, business forms and custom printing to both the so-ho and affinity markets. Both of these platforms were supported by a third application, which was the control panel/management suite, which allowed the sellers to manage their customers and orders.
Developed a fully dynamic franchise Intranet site to relay industry news, events, programs, and forms to the franchisees.
Developed a Content Management Tool to add and edit the content, documents, and downloads. This tool utilizes IE 5 dynamic capabilities, like allowing a user to drag and drop HTML, and allowed for the dynamic placement of downloads, documents, and images within content, allowing client to update a download, without updating the content.
All applications were written using Microsoft technologies including ASP, IIS 4.0 and 5.0, Windows NT, SQL Server 7.0 and 2000, MTS, COM+, VB6, ADO, XML, XSL, XSLT, DHTML, XHTML, MSHTML.

Motorcycle Application Service Provider
An application service provider for motorcycle dealers and content publisher for motorcycle fans. Provided management and complete web site design and development on numerous projects. This site became the number one motorcycle site in the world in less than a year.
Provided management of entire site redesign and implementation of a Content Management System.
Participated in e-commerce initiative that would involve e-commerce retailing and retail facilitation for vendors. Public Utility Holding Company
Provided Technical Lead/Mentor to develop business case for project, a risk analysis tool to evaluate projects and options using a probabilistic simulation (large calculation model) to make most economically sound decisions. Under tight time constraints and limited developer (team of 6) experience with Java, employed short mini-release cycles to mitigate risks. Modeled a majority of technical design using UML to improve communication and comprehension of OO design. Heavy focus on class domain diagrams to make object relationship and dependencies clear and sequence diagrams to describe system behavior.
Numerous design patterns and practices employed to minimize risk and maximize flexibility for inevitable requirements discover and change. System delivered on time and cost of change/extension reduced due to flexible architecture and good team understanding of system. User application primarily a Swing front-end as well as an html client (view) portion leveraging 'model' (of MVC) for some data administrative tasks. WebSphere application server using EJBs for object persistence, servlets for both control and some custom tunneling to support swing clients, JSP's for page presentation, Oracle database and VisualAge for Java development and unit testing. Late in the project, refined architecture to include distributed 'worker' agents using RMI with Jini-like location transparency to dynamically increase processing power for computation intensive model.
Provided data warehouse consultants for an existing system to SAP conversion. ETL Informatica PowerCenter developers at a registered public utility. The group successfully designed and implemented the SAP conversion processes and ETL processes (Informatica). The project involved development of many Informatica maps/sessions/batches that extracted DB2, Oracle, Flat Files, performed massive lookups and cross-referencing and loaded the data into RIIBIP00 structures. Other SAP processes (LSMW, SM35) were utilized to perform the actual load. Worked closely with the user community during design, testing and implementation processes.
Assisted project developers to deliver the company's online bill payment system in development. Tuned architecture to overcome a problem with a third party product that monopolizes the connection to DB2 from within IBM WebSphere by using RMI to provide a custom type 3 JDBC access for the other servlets within the web application. VisualAge Java Enterprise edition used for development and managing team development. Developed perl scripts to automate file processes (billing and reconciliation records).

Tire Manufacturer
Product Selector application is to be used and other associated sites to facilitate users to select and buy tires based on tire specifications, vehicle type, fitment etc. This application has been implemented in Enterprise Java Beans using IBM Visualage for Java. The backend database used is Oracle 8i. The data and object modeling uses Microsoft Visio. A Web Admin interface is implemented using JSP to enable database administration and updating. Certain batch processes are written in Perl to upload data from text files and spreadsheets to Oracle 8i.
